Artwork alteration is a crucial step in the production of figurines. After receiving your design drafts, we still need to make alterations to your design. This is necessary for the following reasons:
Reducing manufacturing costs, we aim to optimize the design to make it more cost-effective.
Enhancing product suitability for production.
After analyzing the product structure, our designers consider various aspects, such as areas requiring alterations, parts that need to be disassembled, and mold layout. Our designers take into account several factors, including but not limited to:
- Inadequate Thickness and Sharpness:
Certain parts of the figurine, such as weapons, collars, hat brims, and capes, must meet specific thickness requirements. The depth of details on the figurine’s body, like eyes, eyebrows, and nose, is also assessed for compliance.
- Minimizing Disassembly:
Some figurine arm designs may lead to disassembly issues due to their angles. Our designers adjust these angles to prevent disassembly. They also inspect the design of the character’s head to avoid parting lines appearing on the front of the character’s face, and so on.
- Material Reduction:
Reducing material is primarily done to prevent excessive thickness in certain areas of the figurine, which can lead to shrinkage, flow marks, and deformations during production. In some cases, certain parts of the figurine and specific design elements would definitely require material reduction.
Above are just some of the considerations involved in artwork alteration. If your figurine design is not subject to alteration, it may encounter various challenges during production.
If you are looking to transform your design into reality, we welcome you to bring your design drafts and consult with our professional staff about the feasibility of production.
